Q & A
Q. Is Adam Sultan, like, your real name?
A. Yes, like, it is
Q. That’s a pretty unusual name
A. Not really. I’m sure you can find dozens of other Adam Sultans on
the internet. Here, I’ll save you the trouble:
1. A painter
2. A Singapore money change
3. A dead guy
Q. Didn’t you used to play in Poi
Dog Pondering?
A. Yeah
Q. Whatever happened to Poi Dog Pondering?
Q. Who else have you played with?
A. The Golden
Arm Trio, Lisa
Mednick, Chris
Black & The Holy Ghost, Tracy and
the Hindenburg Ground Crew, and
Hollowbody, to name a few. Check out the Discography for more details.
Q. Where were you born?
A. West Hollywood, California. Back in the day before it earned city status,
it was known as, “That place, in California, west of Hollywood.”
Q. Do you have any other records of your own besides Heinous
Acts of Love?
A. Heinous Acts...
is my debut under my name, though I had a little get up known as Hollowbody
for a while (also featuring Poi Dog’s
Ted Cho) that I was pretty proud of.
Q. Whatever happened to Hollowbody?
A. Hello, buddy!
Q. Why do you call your band The Adam Sultan Moment?
A.
1 -It’s easy to remember.
2 -It’s even easier to forget, misspell, or mistake for something
vaguely similar.
3 - “Adam Sultan and the PG-13 Birthday Orgy” has
an ominous ring to it.
Q. Who’s in the band?
A.
A whole slew of talented folk, who you can read about at the BAND page.
Q. What instruments do you play?
A. Guitar, the vocal contraption, a wee bit o’ keyboards, a wee-er bit
o’ everything else.
Q. If you were an American pimp, what would your name be?
A. “Super King Chi”
